We began in Praise; remembering Who He is...the Living God, recounting His attributes from Scripture itself and His involvement in our daily lives. It came out as a stunning statement that God alone answers prayers; there is no other. His faithfulness, nothing can separate us from His love, on and on the promises and praise come forth of the great I AM.

Next it was time to Repentance with so much: one precious sister in Jesus shared of her two past abortions and God's forgiveness and grace that abound. Individuals repented for corporate sins and personal ones. I have been weak in the secret place (Ps 91) to meet with my Lord; He is so faithful to keep drawing me and grant grace and sweet forgiveness of this neglect.

Then brothers and sisters begin to Ask...in the charge of Jeremiah 33: 3, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty unsearchable things you do not know." The pace was strong as many concerns was brought in belief; "Now to Him is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory..." Ephesians 3:20-21a Some prayer topics included healthcare legislation, G-20 (economic summit) slated for September in Pittsburgh (G-20.com), for righteousness in government, and education, integrity in the marketplace and media, purity in entertainment, the church to arise and have a united voice in these days, our nation's youth and families so much was brought in obedience as Jesus says, we have not because we ask not.

Yield was our final response to both this time of corporate and personal prayer. To listen to Him and follow in obedience, consider our ways, change our direction as led, to connect with Jesus Christ, our risen Lord.

As we are led in National Daily Prayer through conference calls, personal quiet time, with others in prayer walks, in homes, churches, etc, it is our hope that you will be also to join this Task Force as we gather for the National Prayer Summit, October 16-18th, here in Colorado Springs, FACE to FACE. Praying with one another is powerful, seeing God move and meet with us, learn from others, worship in unity, just come. Click here for details: http://www.ndptf.org/summit/

Praising our Lord God

Please join us in praising our Lord God for an increase in prayer observances and the volunteer NDP Task Force Coordinator Network this year. Our nation is ever in need of God and He has been so faithful to give increase in calling forth those who will pray. May the Almighty guide the Task Force across the nation and be glorified as we continue to come to Him in all times and all things.

We ask our powerful Lord to richly bless the coordinators as they have given time and their resources to call communities to pray. Truly, they are bearing eternal fruit! We ask God to meet the needs of these priceless volunteers. Time is such a limited commodity in life and these people have families, jobs, commitments and challenges and yet they give selflessly without compensation. Why? Because they know the power of prayer and thus that the real hope for America lies at the throne of the Almighty. She battled cancer with great hope that her trial be used to bring others into greater depth in their walk with the Lord God. And it was so! I have been greatly challenged by the unconditional love I felt from her. She knew my weaknesses up close, working together every day. Technology isn't my strong suit, she helped often and graciously and taught me along the way. She loved me through things through spiritual warfare in my personal life and ministry service.

She also loved to tease. Once I was commenting on someone's 'blem'---she looked confused...I pointed to the blem. She laughed so hard and long..."you mean "bling" referring to bright, shiny, girl stuff like jewelry. She loved to share with others about 'blem' vs "bling'! It was worth it to see her laugh and live with such joy!

I had known her for 11 years. We worked together here in NDPTF for over 5 years. I miss her and pray for her family. I rejoice for her:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day---and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4: 7
---------------

You can read more about Jeanne at jeannescancerjourney.blogspot.com

To God be all the Glory,

Lisa Crump
National Coordinator Senior Manager
National Day of Prayer Task Force

Faithful and True

Lately, I have been in the word picture of Revelations 19: 11. Romans 5: 8 A new season the Lord God has me in is about more depth in His character of love, joy, peace and hope day by day. A beloved sister in Jesus Christ shared with me recently that my frustration is often misplaced. It is often the enemy that robs me, clouds my view of God's true heart and power. Everyone is made in His image---how He must love every single soul even in our sin. He wants me to have His heart, the highest virtue, for all, even those that I have to dig deeper to understand or relate to. He wants me to simply and completely love everyone through His eyes. I have received love when I didn't deserve it. I have been forgiven when world would have said take offense. I must give no less in return or I haven't really begun to be transformed to the image of His Son, Jesus. "Love means to love that which is unlovable, or it is no virtue at all; forgiving means to pardon that which is unpardonable, or it is no virtue at all----and to hope means hoping when things are hopeless, or it is no virtue at all." G. K. Chesterton More on hope next time...AGAPE dear saint on the journey with the Lord God Almighty!

To God be all the Glory,

Lisa Crump

Humility

Humility holds in its keeping the very life of prayer. Neither pride nor vanity can pray. Humility, though, is much more than the absence of vanity and pride. Humility, dying to Lisa, is a moment by moment, day by day journey.

Lord, I can tell the difference when my prayers are really about Your power, Your redemption, Your ways, Your thoughts, Your grace, Your love...and so can You. I can't remember a time when so many things in local and national life and extending to personal lives were so stirred up with intense, on-going trials. We ascended Pikes Peak, (aka America’s Mountain) by the COG Railway, representing 22 area churches. In the 1920s, the KKK had declared ungodly things upon this same mountain, dividing cultures. This action had been highlighted in the local paper at that time. Our mission: to worship with fellow believers in Jesus Christ, reflecting on Revelations 5: 9b about the redemptive power of Jesus, “and with Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” The Lord brought together for this spiritual mission, people from Australia, Korea, India, Nigeria, Dominican Republic, in joy and the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We repented of this past division and worshipped in sweet unity as the body of Christ. May the Lord God continue to help us reclaim what has been stolen. With this priceless blood purchase, we are united in growing, new strength as His church, the body of Christ. The Lord has been teaching me how perfectly balanced He is with His mercy, grace and compassion, to holiness and righteousness, justice and more. How can I not trust such majesty and sovereignty in this time or any time? I must, remembering also that He doesn’t change. My Lord has refreshed recently from Isaiah 12: vs 2 “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid…the Lord is my strength and my song…vs 4 “…His name is exalted…He has done glorious things…vs. 6…for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.” He is in our midst—always---how comforting!

The Lord bless you and keep you...

Watchmen in every community, every state, every year for America!

Impact of the First Thursday in May

What a great prayer covering our nation has been experiencing these past few weeks to include May 1st with thousands of prayer gatherings across the country. It is such a privilege to serve the Lord Jesus with all the coordinators hosting prayer meetings and with those who come to prayer with such zeal for the heart of God.

I wanted to share a few comments from those reporting in about the impact of the First Thursday of May:

From Sandra in Texas:
Our NDP event encouraged pastors to have more prayer in their churches. We have even influenced a city nearby to have their own NDP next year—2 ladies who attended our NDP work for the city and have asked their officials to participate already!! Yea for Jesus!! Lots of love and gratitude to all of you at NDP Task Force.”

From Linda in North Carolina:
The 7X7 was an incredible tool this year for the NDP – many in NC used that as a guide and plan to continue using that through the year for daily prayer – I really was amazed how many events were planned using those seven subjects. It covers the whole of life and influence...There was a deeper place of prayer this year and more relational contacts for me.

More from TX:
NDP has challenged me to see what can be done if there are those in a community who pray together. It takes work, but the crucial thing is, "It is not by might, not by strength, but by His Spirit, says the Lord."

May we continue to press in to God through Jesus for His heartbeat; seeking that hearts across America be changed to fully live up to Matthew 22: 37-39a ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

To God be all the Glory,
Lisa

I Don't Do Ordinary

Recently while at the CALL in Montgomery, Alabama, I was praying and telling the Lord, “I am so ordinary. How is it that You have me taken me many places in ministry, allowed me to sit and pray along with such strong intercessors, and to learn about You?”

I felt His Spirit begin to speak within me, “Lisa, you ask Me to use you, help you be a piece of clay that I can mold and work through, but then you stop me and only let Me go so far. You ask ‘why me’ of your God…Why not you, Lisa? If you ask Me to use you, LET ME. Hear ME on this: I DON’T do ordinary”.

Next is silence...time to really comprehend that. Next is…tears. Next, the realization that anything God makes is not ordinary, but extra ordinary.

You---no matter where you are, what you are doing, what is wrong in your life, you matter greatly to Him who distinctly created you and with divine purpose. We shouldn’t take pride in this, but gratitude, He doesn’t think any of us are ordinary.

About this same time, I remembered how I used to think John 20: 7 and 20 were sort of arrogant of John, describing himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” The Lord had previously led me on this one too. He desires we all take to heart how accurate this description of John was then and now is of ourselves! John described himself with the highest account possible. You and I must join him: we are the disciples whom Jesus loves!

I will be traveling next week for the National Day of Prayer events. Please pray for divine appointments while in Alaska (Anchorage to Fairbanks—12 hour Prayer Train) and that God would be glorified as we cover the nation in prayer during the PrayerFlight (all 50 states covered) AGAPE!

Prayer for America

Recently I am have been struck with two basic thoughts on our overall dilemma in America:

1) Psalm 111: 10a is not alive and well here: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." When very much of our culture is viewed (even from a distance), there is little in public life that reflects reverence for our Holy God, thus there are many problems not being addressed with wisdom, discernment.

2) Mark 12: 30-31: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

WOW, close your eyes a minute and ask the Lord to use us to help our nation's families, churches, schools, businesses, government, media, entertainment, etc return to these two foundations.

I'll be in Montgomery, Alabama for the CALL these next few days. I'm looking forward to learning more about prayer itself from the School of Intercession hosted by the CALL hosts and certainly putting that to real life as we pray for 12 hours on Saturday, April 5th.

May the Lord sustain you in every place of need whether rest, finances, health, etc as you watch over and contend for your community as a part of our beloved nation.
