God's Glory

God's glory will be revealed through you daily in proportion to the time you spend in hidden communion with Him. Basilea Schlink

I believe the Lord is leading His body, the church to keep our lives very simple in these days. Then we will be able to keep our focus on Him receiving daily counsel and directives. I can't remember a time when so many things in local and national life and extending to personal lives were so stirred up with intense, on-going trials. It is vital for me, perhaps you too---to abide (John 15) in that daily secret place of communion with Him, our Lord (Ps 91:1). We are being required to serve needs, more and more frequently, with growing urgency.

So Lord, help us to remain full of Your Presence, to share the hope that is within us. Give us Your heart for the unsaved, the heavy hearted, the disengaged, those in despair so that we are ready moment by moment to share Jesus, Your Son, the hope of Glory! Lord, You know that sometimes I need the simple, but powerful reminders myself:

  • The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want...Ps 23:1
  • Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted Ps 46:10

In these days where confusion, dismay, fear, anger surround us, be still with Him who is more than able and know HE will be exalted...AMEN!

My prayer

Lord God Almighty, I thank You for the outpouring of Your Spirit as You burdened Your remnant to fast, intercede, mediate on Your Word and worship You in this hour for America. You alone are God, there is no other (Isaiah 45: 5a). You are showing and giving us Your heart for the unborn, for family and marriage as You created and ordained this institution, for good government that the gospel may be made known...and Your desire that not any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3: 9b).

I thank you Father for the gathering hundreds in prayer at the recent National Prayer Summit in late October, the 11/3 National Conference Prayer Call for elections, for the numerous other gatherings to pray, the thousands who fasted, and interceded to uphold Your Holy purposes and ways for this nation.

Now, I seek You dear Lord to help Your remnant and Your church to continue with wisdom, discernment, revelation, grace, strength, courage to carry on advancing Your Kingdom. Through 1Timothy 2: 1-4, I now pray Lord for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence, this is good and acceptable in Your sight dear God and in Your desire for all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, for there is only God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. Through that Man with the Name above all names, Jesus Christ, I come boldly to Your throne of grace.

Prayer Summit 10/17-19

As many of you know the 2008 Prayer Summit here in Colorado Springs is next week.

We expect more than 400 people to join us here in Colorado Springs for a very special weekend of prayer and intercession for our nation. Our program will cover praying for the 7 centers of power from our 7x7 initiative.

In addition, we know others around the nation will also be joining us in prayer that weekend from their own cities and churches.

If you cannot join us in Colorado Springs that weekend, but want to join us in prayer- we'd be happy to mail a 7x7 prayer guide to you that you can either use on your own that weekend or you could share with a small group. Just email us here and we'll get a copy mailed to you ASAP.

Be sure to check our Web site after the event to hear about the impact and highlights from our prayer summit. If you did participate in a parallel prayer event that weekend- we'd love to hear about it also. There will be a link where you can share your story.

In his holy name,

Lisa

United in the Lord Jesus!

This was what I experienced on July 17th, worshipping and praying for racial reconciliation with 57 pastors and other prayer warriors. We ascended Pikes Peak, (aka America’s Mountain) by the COG Railway, representing 22 area churches. In the 1920s, the KKK had declared ungodly things upon this same mountain, dividing cultures. This action had been highlighted in the local paper at that time. Our mission: to worship with fellow believers in Jesus Christ, reflecting on Revelations 5: 9b about the redemptive power of Jesus, “and with Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” The Lord brought together for this spiritual mission, people from Australia, Korea, India, Nigeria, Dominican Republic, in joy and the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We repented of this past division and worshipped in sweet unity as the body of Christ. May the Lord God continue to help us reclaim what has been stolen. With this priceless blood purchase, we are united in growing, new strength as His church, the body of Christ. AGAPE!

How are you doing...

... in these days of concern in every corner of economy, war, who will lead our nation? The Lord has been teaching me how perfectly balanced He is with His mercy, grace and compassion, to holiness and righteousness, justice and more. How can I not trust such majesty and sovereignty in this time or any time? I must, remembering also that He doesn’t change. My Lord has refreshed recently from Isaiah 12: vs 2 “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid…the Lord is my strength and my song…vs 4 “…His name is exalted…He has done glorious things…vs. 6…for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.” He is in our midst—always---how comforting!

The Lord bless you and keep you...

Impact of the First Thursday in May

What a great prayer covering our nation has been experiencing these past few weeks to include May 1st with thousands of prayer gatherings across the country. It is such a privilege to serve the Lord Jesus with all the coordinators hosting prayer meetings and with those who come to prayer with such zeal for the heart of God.

I wanted to share a few comments from those reporting in about the impact of the First Thursday of May:

From Sandra in Texas:
Our NDP event encouraged pastors to have more prayer in their churches. We have even influenced a city nearby to have their own NDP next year—2 ladies who attended our NDP work for the city and have asked their officials to participate already!! Yea for Jesus!! Lots of love and gratitude to all of you at NDP Task Force.”

From Linda in North Carolina:
The 7X7 was an incredible tool this year for the NDP – many in NC used that as a guide and plan to continue using that through the year for daily prayer – I really was amazed how many events were planned using those seven subjects. It covers the whole of life and influence...There was a deeper place of prayer this year and more relational contacts for me.

More from TX:
NDP has challenged me to see what can be done if there are those in a community who pray together. It takes work, but the crucial thing is, "It is not by might, not by strength, but by His Spirit, says the Lord."

May we continue to press in to God through Jesus for His heartbeat; seeking that hearts across America be changed to fully live up to Matthew 22: 37-39a ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

To God be all the Glory,
Lisa

I Don't Do Ordinary

Recently while at the CALL in Montgomery, Alabama, I was praying and telling the Lord, “I am so ordinary. How is it that You have me taken me many places in ministry, allowed me to sit and pray along with such strong intercessors, and to learn about You?”

I felt His Spirit begin to speak within me, “Lisa, you ask Me to use you, help you be a piece of clay that I can mold and work through, but then you stop me and only let Me go so far. You ask ‘why me’ of your God…Why not you, Lisa? If you ask Me to use you, LET ME. Hear ME on this: I DON’T do ordinary”.

Next is silence...time to really comprehend that. Next is…tears. Next, the realization that anything God makes is not ordinary, but extra ordinary.

You---no matter where you are, what you are doing, what is wrong in your life, you matter greatly to Him who distinctly created you and with divine purpose. We shouldn’t take pride in this, but gratitude, He doesn’t think any of us are ordinary.

About this same time, I remembered how I used to think John 20: 7 and 20 were sort of arrogant of John, describing himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” The Lord had previously led me on this one too. He desires we all take to heart how accurate this description of John was then and now is of ourselves! John described himself with the highest account possible. You and I must join him: we are the disciples whom Jesus loves!

I will be traveling next week for the National Day of Prayer events. Please pray for divine appointments while in Alaska (Anchorage to Fairbanks—12 hour Prayer Train) and that God would be glorified as we cover the nation in prayer during the PrayerFlight (all 50 states covered) AGAPE!

Prayer for America

Recently I am have been struck with two basic thoughts on our overall dilemma in America:

1) Psalm 111: 10a is not alive and well here: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." When very much of our culture is viewed (even from a distance), there is little in public life that reflects reverence for our Holy God, thus there are many problems not being addressed with wisdom, discernment.

2) Mark 12: 30-31: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

WOW, close your eyes a minute and ask the Lord to use us to help our nation's families, churches, schools, businesses, government, media, entertainment, etc return to these two foundations.

I'll be in Montgomery, Alabama for the CALL these next few days. I'm looking forward to learning more about prayer itself from the School of Intercession hosted by the CALL hosts and certainly putting that to real life as we pray for 12 hours on Saturday, April 5th.

May the Lord sustain you in every place of need whether rest, finances, health, etc as you watch over and contend for your community as a part of our beloved nation. AGAPE Lisa Crump
