Prayer for America

Recently I am have been struck with two basic thoughts on our overall dilemma in America:

1) Psalm 111: 10a is not alive and well here: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." When very much of our culture is viewed (even from a distance), there is little in public life that reflects reverence for our Holy God, thus there are many problems not being addressed with wisdom, discernment.

2) Mark 12: 30-31: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

WOW, close your eyes a minute and ask the Lord to use us to help our nation's families, churches, schools, businesses, government, media, entertainment, etc return to these two foundations.

I'll be in Montgomery, Alabama for the CALL these next few days. I'm looking forward to learning more about prayer itself from the School of Intercession hosted by the CALL hosts and certainly putting that to real life as we pray for 12 hours on Saturday, April 5th.

May the Lord sustain you in every place of need whether rest, finances, health, etc as you watch over and contend for your community as a part of our beloved nation. AGAPE Lisa Crump
